Creating new character entries[]

Before starting your character page, check out the Character Stats template. There you'll find a list of all the variables you can use to create your character's sidebar (or Character Sheet)

The CharStats template automatically tags your character with a number of categories based on the information you supply. We also calculate a number of traits for your adventurer, including skill bonuses and available spell slots.

Update Jan 2018[]

The template can now automatically apply racial ability scores for most of the playable races. When using this feature, use the 'Auto_apply_modifiers' tag in your template and set your 6 ability scores to their values before applying any racial adjustments. (Looking at the numbers entered, the values should equate to spending 27 points per the "CUSTOMIZING ABILITY SCORES" section in the player's handbook, page 13).

Additionally, a section has been added to the sidebar that will list out any racial abilities. Descriptions for all the abilities have not been added yet - you can help by going to the Template:RacialTraits page and filling in details.

Update Dec 2017[]

The template can now tally your XP and show you how far it is to go until the next level - or if you should be taking a moment to Level Up!

Also, provisions for Subrace and Subclasses have been added. I'm planning to generate a list of abilities eventually, so filling in these aspects of your characters will help give me enough information to work with.
